order of the day
the talking heads will now
speak and say nothing

---

desultory art
intangible and shifting
leaving not a trace

---

I said, he said, she
we all said those things we said
our heads full of me

---

hot air fills the void
the truth can not be spoken
free speech for shut minds

Hullo Boys and Girls, I'm back after the long Xmas break.

And ahoy the Schutter - without being certain I suspect that you're the only person who hangs out here who doesn't vist the church blog. That's why you're the only person who's wondering if it's all over. It's not over, it's just me bringing the inconstancy that the church-goers are used to, here. Ha!

Otherwise the last pic was fun. I'm not giving it top marks because at the end I still liked my haiku best. It happens occasionally. It's possible I liked mine best because I knew what the picture was of and thus nailed the subject matter. Who knows?

Anyway. that particular pic is titled Icarus. Get it? Does it all make sense to now? As for the work itself, it came from Matisse's later period when he was less interested in paints and brushes. Which John nailed in his limerick! I'm not too sure about the bit about the ladies, though.

Matisse had forgot how to paint
So with scissors created, how quaint
From his bed he would snip
and his glue it would drip
In the hope all the ladies would faint.

Anyway, this week we're having a conversation.

Curse you Anonymous! There I was savouring the delicious irony of me declaring we're having a conversation followed by a complete silence, when you lob up with a haiku and ruin everything. Where's the irony now? Shot to hell!

Um, pretty good haiku though...

I deleted my own haiku and rewrote it. And quite right too.

Nice one John. I know this is a tough pic but it can be done. And done well!
