Summer by the pool.
I'm tanned and reading Nietszche,
while the cat skin-dives

I couldn't help myself...

It is quite simple
I like the peace and quiet
In my own fishbowl

I can't catch those fish!
I can sit here and watch them
But I can't catch them

My own bubble world
Sitting in the catbird seat
Waiting for the catfish

Hey Buff, will I take that as a tick of approval to sling it on the front page? It is an absolute cracker isn't it? And yeah yeah Schutte don't go getting a swell head or nothin'.

Ha ha ha... Nietszche by the pool... madness...

Ha ha! Imagine if Robbie Burns had had access to a scuba-diving cat?! Then he'd have written a poem 'To a fish' with the line -

The best laid schemes of haddock and cod,
Nay gang aft agley

And then, sure enough, John Steinbeck would have gone on to write 'Of Haddock and Cod', a book about Lennie and George, two winners for whom everything goes right with the both of them going on to live happily ever after.

Gosh! How different the world would have been!

Hee hee. It might not be a haiku but it's definitely a cracking caption. And so... I declare Kikz the winner of the caption contest!

...and yeah, I didn't know we were having a caption contest either but that's the beauty of having a blog - you get to make shit up as you go along, ha!
