a paper tiger
scary except for the grin
of a Cheshire Cat

---

a jackal stare-down
lost my human proportion
hesitant retreat

---

your face is eclipsed
shadow bands reveal the joy
this message of love

---

asian eyes perplex
the silly grimace cutely
stumps haiku dojo

---

a killer's face
that I made in a mirror
it's the real me, grrr!

Ayah! There's somebody else in the room! I thought it was just me. Hullo JD, how are you? Boy I can pick these pix can't I? One of these days I'll get it right. Anyway, thanks for that mate.

very much enjoyed your 'church of' piece nobody, an interesting turn of events and an almost impossible feeling to describe but you do a great job there.

hope all goes well!

Thanks John, I'm glad you liked it. And it's good that you and AP have piled in with JD. For a while there I thought I was it. Subsequently I was going to bloody-mindedly write five haiku myself and fill the front page that way. But it was a tough gig! Three and I was pretty much done. It's nice to have the load shared.

ciao ciao

And P! You remain as enigmatic as ever. And long may you enigmatically reign o'er us, ha ha.

apologies for enigma. after seeing that rather scary picture a few days ago I experienced agitation tremendous enough to turn me invisible, which is a rather decent method in protecting my gentle childlike soul, yet a bit antisocial for my taste. yesterday the doctor who diagnozed my chronic obscurity prescribed hands and dance to make me visible again. the recovery process is well under way.

deflating a mystery behind a haiku, what a crime.

P, no need to fear any criminal charges. After that explanation I declare you as enigmatic as ever. Yay!
