pride and aggression
the nature of a dragon
much to overcome

---

wisdom well guarded
this pearl is so hard to find
chasing my tail

---

self created
of everything and nothing
it unto itself

---

fury spits fury
dance immortal not to end
fire-water tangle

---

have: fiery meatball
need: linguini, romano
wine and crusty loaf

I stole that from Spirited Away. If you haven't seen it, you must. It's fabulous.

And if you were ever curious as to why dragons chase pearls, it seems that no one's quite sure.

i did not know it was a pearl, so i thought of this in the middle of the night, when i should have been asleep...

have: fiery meatball
need: linguini, romano
wine and crusty loaf

sorry that was irreverent.

i looked into fire
saw a dragon playing there
flickering his tail

conspicuously
he flashed across a red sky
mesmerizing me

Thanks AP,

Pearl, orb, it's all good. And irreverent? You should see the Schutter, ha ha. Actually where is the Schutter? He's not grooving on this one it seems. Go on the Schutter, all that time you spent in Hong Kong mate...

And thanks FB, thanks John, very nice.

Waitaminute. A Chinese dragon eating Italian food? The new China, so cosmopolitan!

Irreverent, I know . . . but this thought popped into my head late at night as I looked at the pic, and I still remembered it enough this morning to chuckle at it.

Hope all is well, Nobody.

part of the inspiration for the retry stemmed from the silvery pearls, associated to accounts of silvery cords read long ago. wikipedia knows something; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_cord

Hullo Boys and Girls,

Sorry I haven't been in. I've been on the road. Seven days of travelling - some of it spent at friends with the rest involving me reeling off the kilometres at the wheel of my new, ten-year-old van. I may have bought a dud but I can't help but like it.

Anyway my real world work starts now. I have to install a bed, a fridge, a stove, all that stuff. I'm quite looking forward to it.

And thanks for the haiku this week. Very good.

A new front page shortly. As soon as I figure out what I'm going to put up there. Soon Soon.

these may be too expensive, but might serve as ideas for kitting it out....

Thanx Kikx, pretty cool. But not cheap mate. That's double my budget for the whole fit-out. But don't worry, ex-designer me, I have a ton of ideas. The whole thing is going to be a bit Japanesey. I can't afford real tatami (and they're too heavy) so I'm going to make a poor-man's version with those grass mat beach roll things. Anyway, it's all pictured in my mind.
