Deep hues of nightfall
Warm, alone, I own it all
At least until dawn

---

this perfect urban
inviolate, peopleless,
non-human heaven

---

lights are so pretty
I compose a little poem
not very witty

---

Long hot summer night
I have found a reason to live,
walking the city.

---

lights stay on for the
cold steel heart of the city
humanity gone

Hi boys and girls,

Well that last effort was way too weird. A fellow goes away for a week and everything goes nuts. At least it wasn't my fault, ha ha. Was it FB's? FB, for punishment you may NOT have a second helping of ice cream when it's ice cream night. Actually since you're the only one who sends me pix, you can have seconds but only of vanilla or strawberry. No chocolate. (Why do we buy that Napolitana? It's bloody stupid).

Oh, and FB, as for multiple posting that's just some blogger monkey business. I put a note up at the church and I'll do something similar here.

And this week's pic is another from my favourite Finnish blog dyslexia is ok here. What a spooky eye - the right kind of hard-to-describe. I have it pegged as the kind of pic that will say something different to everyone who looks at it. Fingers crossed...

And do click on it for the bigger rez. It's worth it just for more of that eerie, almost-too-intense blue.

FB

I don’t like strawberry ice cream so I will settle for a double helping of vanilla or is that too greedy? ;-)

Shades of night fall in

Blue Electric Avenue

Or a street with no name?

Day gives over to night

Night gives over to neon

And business ego

A single tram track

With no cables or third rails

Crossings for who? – strange.

Just wanted to write and say how much I loved FB's haiku - they were brilliant

Sorry folks, I had a headache that lasted for several days and seemed untouched by regular painkillers. Dope seemed to sort it out but then it was hard to tell if I was convalescing or just stoned.

And FB, very good - a case of 'bingo' for the first one.

Hello boys and girls, sorry I was away for so long. Mind you, it was worth it, it seems, what with so many cool haiku.
