5 - 7 - 5
Haiku are a form of Japanese poetry that are written in three lines with a syllable count of five, seven, five. But don't let that stop you writing whatever you like. There are no fascists here and any contribution you wish to make is welcome. Here we seek the sublime, and if we can't have that, we'll just have a laugh. It's all good.
With the current picture as your inspiration, pile in to the comments and have a go. At the end of the week I pick five and put them on the front page.
As the Japanese say - Let's enjoyment haiku!

It's blackness against the snow

John, what were you on about? This is a brilliant photo. There's so much going on in it. The perfection of the dog's balance between the potential and the kinetic blows me away. It's really something.
Cheers nobody. After I posted it I thought it might have been a bit gloomy but all is good then.
I forgot to say on an earlier one how much I liked Rothko, he was the reason I became interested in abstract art in the first place, thanks.
vaguely apropos Pen's peice-
a hole in the snow
alive and seeking us out
'we' - 'it' - 'fall into'
As for Rothko I have another one that (kind of) functions like a bookend for the previous one. I'll put it up at some point.
