Cerulean sky
Colours change to cinnamon
Strands of cloud alight
---
we share a vision
the archaic revival
a beach lost in time
---
Modesty becomes
There are no drapes to open
No tongues of water
---
clouds swarm to the land
the glowing heavens shine on
life regenerates
---
foreboding skies lurk
a couple of rocks stand firm
let's dance one more time

Not forgetting that if this week is another dudbash, I blame John. And quite right.

we stop for heaven
and sit on the beach and watch
our bottoms wet
Geez. I just spent two hours writing that. Not very good is it? Bloody John!
dreaming of Wagner
twilight of the gods - tacet
a soundless sky
loch ness of the sea
beached like a pod of bluefins
just a pile of rocks
Cerulean sky
Colours change to cinnamon
Strands of cloud alight.
(I borrowed lines from someone else's poem http://www.cs.indiana.edu/~tloos/poems/story15.html)

the ebb tide reveals
secret underwater lair
of Pleidians
Wagners Valkeries,
decending through clouds
air cav, apocolyse now.
a scene
war of the worlds
dangerous beauty
riders on the storm
born unto thiws world
enlightened being
so much to write
so litte words
more coffee.
this one looks easy but it's hard..
maybe cause it's the morning.
hope you are all well :)
Cheers A
VERY cool. Bravo all.
And hats off to me! Sure it would be John's fault if no one grooved on this week's pic, but it's also true that I get all the credit if we love it. It's a pretty good deal isn't it? I should do this more often, ha ha ha.
Anyway, very good. And Aang! Lovely to have you in. And yeah, it's a bit of a cheat but only a little one. Frankly mate, I like your two lines easily as much as that other chap's. C'arn Aang! Give in to that poetic soul I'm entirely certain is within you.
And thanks P, brilliant link. And my favourite movie scored a guernsey! Otherwise overall, my head isn't utterly there but I'd take that chap over pretty much everything else on the telly.
And thanks AP, thanks A13. Oh AP - I put 'Pleidian' into google and topping the page was a site spruiking a book by one Liz Shapiro. Groan.
fecking google.

(I too blame John.)
P2P, I can't quite go there although I did listen for awhile. There was a line I could not cross.
I finally called it bullshit, P2p.
Forgive me.
hullo boys and girls. i've cut the end of my finger off (right hand pinky). happily most of the bone is still there so i'll be able to touch type again. off to sydney tomorrow for hand surgery. apparently there is such a thing as a 'hand hospital'. who knew? anyway ciao ciao talk you soon.
OMG Nobs..how did you do it..no gory details thanks..just a brief..
sounds ouchy big time..
Hope you are OK the surgery goes well..healing vibes your way..
Cheers A
And another thing..Glad you didn't chop off your wrist..otherwise we wouldn't recognise you !! ;)

Hullo A ...with a router. Im a big fan of routers and have three. This was my favourite, a little Makita one-handed trimmer. It seems that when I stuck my finger into the bit I did it in an optimal fashion. The nerves to the pad are intact and I can still move the joint no problems, and there's enough flesh left to cover the bone tip and give sensitivity.
The finger will just be shorter and it'll have no nail. (Thinks -10% off manicures!) To be honest in the grand scheme of things it's a very minor wound. I haven't had the surgery yet, ie. it's still a ragged wound bound in bandages, but regardless I can type pretty well. The only thing driving me nuts are apostrophes.
Otherwise I asked the doctor if I'd be able to play the violin after the op and he said sure, no problems. I said that that was great because I couldn't play a note before.
Boom Boom!

milk this fecund beauty
imbibing cloud juice

here in africa they would say
go home and get used to 4.

So what was he thinky?
Su, lovely to see you in here. And JD. Actually now that I think about it, curse the both of you because you just made picking five that much more difficult. Bloody typical. You inconsiderate bastards, never a thought for the struggling haiku picking guy. No, just me, me, me, 'I wanna write a haiku and I don't give a tinker's cuss about anyone else'
*BINK*
Sorry, was I just possessed by the ghost of Basil Fawlty? How did that happen? Too much TV in my youth I guess. Perhaps a cup of tea and a lie down.
Otherwise carry on. You've all done very well.

Wow, good stuff! Not you cutting the end off your finger obviously nobody, that has to sting a bit. Hope it grows back again. If not I'll look forward to having less apostrophes from you. Or you could learn to type like me - with two fingers.
