Our Christmas Day is being commandeered by a Cyclone.. A Tropical monsoonal storm is heading this way so getting in early to send best wishes before power goes,lots of not "traditional Christmas" prepping to do now :)

Tony, it sounds similar to the stand off that happened a few years ago between the PNG government and the people of Bougainville. The mining company poisoned the land and made a mess of the landscape without including the islanders into the equation. When the islanders said “And what about us”? PNG sent in the military to sort the islanders out whilst the mining company stood by and watched. I don't believe there were any deaths in that case though.

I've been on the road for the last week without phones, internets, any of that monkey business.

I'm know I'm well past due for posting them up and putting up a new pic but unfortunately I'm on someone else's computer on a free internet connection we found in a pub. And it's not helped by the fact that this particular computer has a non-English keyboard.
