in a black mirror
waters of life corrupted
my dark twin stares back

---

an upside down world
where white-less eyes greet your gaze
mute in their despair

---

oh, that sweet sweet crude
makes water reflect itself
and maybe smoke more

---

colours glow,images flow
the primal pond of existence
keeps flowing - keeps growing...

Hey Folks, this pic is from my new favourite blog dyslexia is okay here. Perhaps this page is more representative. Gorgeous photos, really inspiring.

And Ms Dyslexiaisokayhere, I do hope you're not pissed off that I just went ahead and did this. I sent you a couple of comments asking if it was okay but I don't know if you got them, or blogger disappeared them, or who knows, not me.

I've no desire to cause unhappiness and if that has been the result, tell me and I'll remove the pic and apologise profusely. But I'm hoping you won't think that and that you take it in the spirit in which it's intended, which is to say one of appreciation.

best,

n

PS Pile in folks - embrace the delicious ambiguity.

before it all dies

Oh, and Su! Never mind Dyslexiaisokayhere, I went ahead and fiddled with your haiku from last week as well. But since I know you hate being apologised to, I won't. Ha!

View it as the price of getting on the front page. Ordinarly I'd feel badly for whomever it was you squeezed out but in this case I happen to know he's a git so no problems there. Anyway, the end result works pretty well I reckon.

no problem nobody.
kind of like having an online editor.

Other John! Speak of the devil. Are your eyes watering mate? How's your breathing? Or are you away from it all?

I'm in the tampa bay area, nothing has rolled in with the tide, and the air is fine.

It's tough to make out what really is going on. From BP's secrecy, obfuscation, and underselling of the situation, to the stereotypical internet 'this is the end of the world', the truth lies somewhere. And it doesn't appear to be good, but life goes on; hopefully oil and corexit free. Based on the currents in the Gulf, it should.
Just hope mother nature perseveres.

Thanks mate, I hope you're right.

I'm cool with this.

Actaully, missed the comments for I rarely check if I've gotten some, for well, I barely never do... =)

I used to use time as a 'c' on my pics, but let go of that later due to not documenting time anymore. I also believe all art in the bit sphere should be free to come and go, and that applies to me too of course.

Yay! Lovely to have you pop in.

Mate, you are definitely cool - but I already knew that. Dispensing with time, eh? I'm not going to make a comment because it's started too many thoughts swirling around in my head. I'll go away and have a think.

As for free, same same here. Whomever may use whatever (as long as they're not motherfuckers using it to make money, ahem).

Otherwise, anytime you want to pile in here or at the church blog, don't be shy. Meanwhile I don't know about anyone else (skimpy turnout this week) but I'm a fan. Yoroshiku, n.

Excellent one John
I give up this week

thanks very much der schutte. I got very stuck on the van gogh one and just couldn't get what I wanted to say into a haiku form.

Damn, John has cracked it this week. And the Schutte, I know what you mean. I often find myself completely stumped and never mind that I chose the pic. Go figure.

Anyway, riffing of John -

i gave up when i first saw it but in trying to strengthen the will i set myself little challenges.
this one was no indulgence until a haiku emerges.

off to the garden now....

You know what it is? Forcing yourself doesn't work. You have to surrender. Well, that's the only way I get a decent effort, I reckon.

surrender is not always possible : )

Oh I surrender.
I have been very naughty.
Please punish me now.
