5 - 7 - 5
Haiku are a form of Japanese poetry that are written in three lines with a syllable count of five, seven, five. But don't let that stop you writing whatever you like. There are no fascists here and any contribution you wish to make is welcome. Here we seek the sublime, and if we can't have that, we'll just have a laugh. It's all good.
With the current picture as your inspiration, pile in to the comments and have a go. At the end of the week I pick five and put them on the front page.
As the Japanese say - Let's enjoyment haiku!

manifests as art and yet carries not a glimmer of self deprecation.

su i love your haikus because you very definitively don't follow the rules, which is very refreshing. ; D
yeah well i try but it is just impossible.
for me it would be refreshing if i could stick to the rules.
Ha ha ha, very good. I'm not that fussed myself. Half the fun is having people stop in.
Hmm... thinks... Su has a good point. Writing something sensible about a picture like this is almost impossible. And that's because haiku aren't meant to be about pictures like this. Haiku are meant to be about a crow landing on a branch or the snow on a statue of buddha or the sound of a cicada. They should be about a single finger-click snapshot. And what's this pic about? Phew! Nothing you can fit in a finger click that's for sure.
But still, I think the appropriate response is a shoulder shrug and a let's-carry-on.
Why can't I see me?
Son, this is not a mirror
I had them all smashed
ha well we all agree
rules are over-rated.
there's a broken haiku for you.
